Peace between Gordon and Ambrose
Robby Gordon’s “peace offering.” was finally accepted by Marcose AmbroseLast weekend an incident happened which is probably one of the most controversial in the NASCAR’s recent history, in which Gordon’s offer consisting of driving No 77 Camping World Ford Fusion has been accepted by Ambrose in an uncharacteristic show of forgiveness, even after the disastrous attempt of Gordon to sabotage his first NASCAR win which Ambrose was on the verge of stealing. Ambrose’s regular sponsor Kingsford Charcoal will also have some signage on it.
Last weekend, in the NAPA Auto Parts 200 held in Montreal Ambrose led 37 laps more than any other driver, and was all set to finish winning his first NASCAR Busch Series but was thwarted by Gordon.
Resulting in Gordon being eliminated from the Nextel Cup Race to be held the following day, thought he did not agree with the calls made he accepted in good grace and wants to forget the incident.
Doing a double role, Ambrose will now continue campaign. He was originally scheduled to make his debut in the Nextel Cup in another entry but circumstances prevailed otherwise. Winning two Australian V8 Supercar Championships for ford, he is considered no less than an expert on the road and it was only last year that he set his sights on NASCAR. This Australian las currently hold the eighth position in the Busch Series points and the second position in the standing of the Rookie of the year
