Brooks to preside over Charlotte office

Paul brooks, senior vice president for NASCAR will now be overseeing the activities of Charlotte’s office N.C and will also make efforts to the tune of creation of a NASCAR media group. All departments like automotive aftermarket, publishing, consumer products, new media licensing and broadcasting will now be reporting to Brooks.”The development of the NASCAR Media Group, NASCAR Plaza and NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, N.C., combined with our ongoing commitment to best serve the licensing initiatives of our entire industry, creates a unique opportunity in our sport’s future,” France said. “I have great confidence in Paul Brooks and his ability to lead these initiatives into the future. The formation of NASCAR Media Group will be the formation of a rights management, content production, distribution and Entertainment Company designed to specifically bring into the sunlight median and opportunities for content for the sport.

The current areas of responsibilities of Brooks will shift on to the chief marketing officer Steve Phelps.

Earlier at the post of the vice president of the Broadcasting department, brooks brought into existence the Los Angeles office in 2000. which then rose on to make huge progress all under his guidance.

Having the distinction of the Sports Business Journal “Forty Under 40” recipient for three years as also gaining entry into the Sports Business Journal “Forty Under 40 Hall of Fame” in 2005. the family of Brooks will relocate from central Florida to Charlotte N.C

NASCAR currently the second highest rated regular sport per season, it is also the fastest growing sport in North America with its headquarters in Daytona Beach, Fla., at the place that it was founded in 1948.
